Literature Text

When they nailed up that Good man up Calvary's tree
When they butchered that savior who set us all free
My heart cried like a stormy rain,
But I knew I was saved from sinful chains.

Oh... I thank that old mount!
Which gave me more blessings than I could count!
For that man was no other than Christ,
The Messiah, the Healer who healed all my fright,
The Son of God who showed me the Light!

When they taunted that Good man, cursing His name,
Disfigured his face so he was not the same,
And gave off His clothes in a gambling game.
My heart cried, my soul did despise,
Those wretched men that caused His demise.

That was until I heard his words..
They floated to my ears like peaceful birds..
When He said, "Father forgive them..."

At last when it was done,
A darkness cloaked the shining sun,
But I knew that He didn't pass away

I knew He would come on the third day...
Hope you enjoy...

Remember the Sacrifice for all of us today.
Have a Blessed Good Friday
